Temporary noise nuisance due to demolition building and Calve site

Various demolition and remediation work is currently taking place on the Biotech Campus Delft. You can read more about that in this post.

In April 2022 we started cleaning up the former Calvé site. Historical soil contaminations are remediated and old foundations and other objects in the ground are demolished and removed. This work will result in several truck transports via the Lepelbrug and there may also be noise nuisance for our environment. The work is expected to last until the end of August. The permit granted is valid for work between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday. We try to limit the inconvenience as much as possible, but unfortunately we cannot prevent it completely.

Demolition Alexander Fleming House

We are working on the demolition of the Alexander Fleming House since November 2020. This building is located along the western side of the railway. The end is in sight, but the floor and foundation have yet to be removed. A so-called spike will be used for this. To our regret, this will most likely cause noise nuisance to our environment. Unfortunately, this cannot be tackled in any other way. The work is expected to take place between mid-May and late June. The granted demolition permit is valid from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday. We try to limit the inconvenience and the period as much as possible, but unfortunately we cannot prevent it completely.
